How big should a storage unit be for a car?

Small vehicles and 4-door sedans measure up to 15 feet and would easily fit on a 10 x 20 enclosed unit. SUVs, larger sedans, or small pickup trucks measure between 15' to 19', and larger pick-ups with longer beds measure around 22 feet. These longer vehicles will fit in larger units like 10x25 and 10x30. They will have to be on the first floor and have outside access and like any other unit, sizes are approximate and you should talk to the facility manager to make sure they allow vehicle parking on those units.

How long can I keep my car in an enclosed self storage unit?

Most of our rental terms are month to month and there is no long term contract. You can keep your vehicle stored for 1 month or several months at a time. These units are great to heep your vehilce away from the elements during the winter season, specially in parts of the country where the cold is extreme.

What kind of vehicle storage units are available?

Can I work on my car while in storage?

Unfortunately no. Working on your vehicle could potentially create problems with oil or fluid disposal. Also working on cars produces noice, smells and smoke which presents a nuisense for other renters and customers.

Do I need insurance in my vehicle while in storage?

Yes, your vehicle needs to have up to date insurance protection as well as being properly registered and in good working condition. You cannot tow your vehicle to the storage unit.
