What is a ground floor or first floor storage unit?
A ground floor storage unit makes it easier to access and does not require the use of an elevator. However, the convenience of a first floor storage unit usually comes with a cost, and are typically more expensive.
What is elevator access or a upper floor storage unit?
An elevator access storage unit makes it a little more difficult to load and unload your storage unit and requires the use of an elevator or stair case. However, a upper floor storage unit typically will be less expensive.
What is a storage locker?
A storage locker has a reduced ceiling height between 4 to 6 feet. These storage units are good for storing small items; like suit cases, small household items, school and dormitory items, office supplies or holiday decorations. Storage lockers are usually less expensive than other units and could be the ground floor or accessed with a rolling ladder.
What is an onsite storage manager?
The manager of the storage facility actually lives in an apartment that is typically attached to the storage facility. The storage unit tenants get a feeling of security, knowing that a manager is nearby to address emergency matters or other matters that could occur after hours.
What is extended hours?
Usually storage facility office hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Extended hours could be from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm or even 24 hours a day, giving storage tenants more access to their storage unit.
What is keypad access?
A keypad entrance storage facility will control who enters and exits the facility. The tenant is provided a personal gate code and prevents non renters from entering the gated property.

Betty was very knowledgeable, professional & helpful, not to mention patient considering my less than average technology experience....
I have to hand it to Ashley over there at the Glisan location, I have never had a quicker, easier, or more pleasant storage rental experience. Very affordable with no hidden costs. I think the entire process from arriving to being handed over my unit took about 15 minutes total. Recommend highly
No issues. I needed storage, got it within 10 minutes. Received storing advice and had all my questions answered as well. No issues with the location. Staff is always friendly. I would use this facility again.
I have had excellent service with Public Storage and especially with the manager, Monte, who gives excellent customer service and keeps the property very well maintained. I highly recommend Public Storage - and the location at 8928 NE Halsey in Portland, OR if you need a storage place in that city!
Monte is AMAZING!!!!
Great space rates and great personnel and the hours are perfect
I have only recently rented the storage area at your facility, and as of today have barely put anything into the unit. I have rented from Public storage before as well as other storage facilities with no problem what so ever; however, I am more than a little concerned with this location. As soon as the exterior door to the building was opened and we stepped inside to find our unit I noticed that the entire building smelled moldy. Our individual unit also smells moldy, I am taking a big chance that my items will be contaminated by placing them in this facility. I am hopeful that the short amount of time that my items are in the storage unit that they will not be contaminated with mold spores.
