What is a ground floor or first floor storage unit?
A ground floor storage unit makes it easier to access and does not require the use of an elevator. However, the convenience of a first floor storage unit usually comes with a cost, and are typically more expensive.
What is elevator access or a upper floor storage unit?
An elevator access storage unit makes it a little more difficult to load and unload your storage unit and requires the use of an elevator or stair case. However, a upper floor storage unit typically will be less expensive.
What is a storage locker?
A storage locker has a reduced ceiling height between 4 to 6 feet. These storage units are good for storing small items; like suit cases, small household items, school and dormitory items, office supplies or holiday decorations. Storage lockers are usually less expensive than other units and could be the ground floor or accessed with a rolling ladder.
What is an onsite storage manager?
The manager of the storage facility actually lives in an apartment that is typically attached to the storage facility. The storage unit tenants get a feeling of security, knowing that a manager is nearby to address emergency matters or other matters that could occur after hours.
What is extended hours?
Usually storage facility office hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Extended hours could be from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm or even 24 hours a day, giving storage tenants more access to their storage unit.
What is keypad access?
A keypad entrance storage facility will control who enters and exits the facility. The tenant is provided a personal gate code and prevents non renters from entering the gated property.

We received a phone call within minutes of securing a unit on-line, giving us the information about our unit, which was followed up with an email and text message. We drove over to the facility the same night to secure the unit to finalize the rental agreement. The facility is well maintained and very clean. I love that the units are climate controlled. Highly recommend if you’re in need of extra storage!
I was able to rent a space right away at Extra Space Storage and the manager on duty, Raymond Scudierri was very helpful. My only complaint is that the facility appeared to have a limited number of hand trucks (2 only) at each entrance and are not easily maneuverable. This made moving in inconvenient when there are multiple customer moving at the same time/entrance.
Ray saved the day. We are having a moving truck make a delivery this week and we hastily rented a unit at Stowaway without checking if a large vehicle could be accommodated (yeah, it can't ... and my bad for not thinking to ask first). After a few calls around came across Extra Space Storage in Hillsborough and it is perfect. Easy access and the storage units are clean and well maintained. Ray is knowledgeable and professional and answered every question we had and he even offered advice on things we may not have thought of. Highly recommend the place and the staff.
Highly recommend this location for storage needs! Ray and Wyatt are amazing and very friendly! The process was a breeze from start to finish. Will definitely be returning if we need a storage unit!

The Bridgewater location is an excellent facility. Clean, properly air-conditioned and each unit is east to access whether you are on the first floor, second or third floor. In addition, the safe are friendly and efficient. I have used different locations in the past, however, Bridgewater is the best. The manager, Raymond Scudieri, is outstanding.
