What is a ground floor or first floor storage unit?
A ground floor storage unit makes it easier to access and does not require the use of an elevator. However, the convenience of a first floor storage unit usually comes with a cost, and are typically more expensive.
What is elevator access or a upper floor storage unit?
An elevator access storage unit makes it a little more difficult to load and unload your storage unit and requires the use of an elevator or stair case. However, a upper floor storage unit typically will be less expensive.
What is a storage locker?
A storage locker has a reduced ceiling height between 4 to 6 feet. These storage units are good for storing small items; like suit cases, small household items, school and dormitory items, office supplies or holiday decorations. Storage lockers are usually less expensive than other units and could be the ground floor or accessed with a rolling ladder.
What is an onsite storage manager?
The manager of the storage facility actually lives in an apartment that is typically attached to the storage facility. The storage unit tenants get a feeling of security, knowing that a manager is nearby to address emergency matters or other matters that could occur after hours.
What is extended hours?
Usually storage facility office hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Extended hours could be from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm or even 24 hours a day, giving storage tenants more access to their storage unit.
What is keypad access?
A keypad entrance storage facility will control who enters and exits the facility. The tenant is provided a personal gate code and prevents non renters from entering the gated property.

Excellent service.
The staff at Extra Space Storage is amazing!!! We had a problem with our lock recently and they contacted us to let us know it was not securely locked. We love knowing that they are looking out for us and our personal belongings. Thank you again Tanya for your help!
I have had storage units in the past and I have dealt with people who don't care about anything but either getting money or auctioning off other people's belongings. When I spoke on the phone with the woman running the Extra Space in Somersworth NH at 115 White House Road on August 31st... She was so sweet & so kind... She was unbelievably understanding to the situation that I'm going through & flat out said... I'm not here to get rid of your stuff, I'm here to take care of you, what can I do to help ?!! I have never had somebody say that to me ever so if I could give her a million stars, I would... I cannot remember her name & I feel so awful LOL but she was so incredibly sweet, kind & understanding... I'm so grateful that the world still has people like her in it.... ????????????????????
